Inducted into the Jewish Sports Hall of Fame, 1995

A Hartford native, Sack was an all-city shortstop, earning a letter in baseball at Weaver High School, where he was in the class of 1929 and part of the winning 1928 team. He returned to Hartford after graduating from New York University in 1933.

He was a fixture at the YMCA handball courts and the Keney Park golf course for several decades, winning medals and trophies.
