Aunt Sally used to come and babysit my sister and me when we were little and my mother had to work. She and her husband rented space at an auction and we often went to explore all of the fun things they had for sale. One time Uncle Al put me up on the table and offered me up for auction! Everyone there thought it was very funny.
Recipe
2 cups flour
1/2 lb. butter
1/2 lb. cream cheese
2 tablespoons cinnamon
6 tablespoons sugar
1/2 cup walnuts, chopped
1/2 cup raisins, chopped
Combine flour, butter and cream cheese and wrap in wax paper. Leave in refrigerator overnight.
Roll out dough on floured board using a small amount at a time. Roll to inch thickness. Cut circles with round medium cookie cutter. Roll each circle with rolling pin once again. Fill with mixture made of sugar, cinnamon, nuts and raisins. Roll up as for a jellyroll and shape into crescent. Bake at 375 degrees on ungreased cookie sheet until browned. Sprinkle with powdered sugar.
