Grandma always used to do the holidays and family and friends enjoyed being together, and the great food! The fragrance of the chicken soup, and the brisket cooking greeted you at the door. My granddaughter thought it was time for her to learn how to cook for the Jewish Holiday. She looked at my pile of traditional recipes and decided matzah balls was what she would like to prepare – she already had made chicken soup – so all the ingredients came together – with my special few pieces of cut-up parsley and a little shake of cinnamon – and that’s Grandma’s secret to making them so good. I received a call an hour later – “Grandma – I did all you told me but they melted into the water – you didn’t tell me to boil the water!” True story!
