Dr. Fanny Karp Radom

Born December 28, 1876 in Ukraine, she graduated from the University of Kharkov before coming to the U.S. in 1893, where she studied at the Brooklyn College of Pharmacy and the Women’s Medical College of Pennsylvania. She was one of the first women to be licensed as a pharmacist in Connecticut, and she also practiced medicine for 30 years. She was one of the physicians who founded Mt. Sinai Hospital in Hartford in 1923.

She died on September 12, 1948.
