The Jewish Historical Society will be starting a blog on our website showcasing food stories, photos, and family recipes. To help us get started, we would like you to begin to gather favorite family recipes and the stories that go along with them. You may even have a treasured photo from past family meals. The holidays are a perfect time to have these conversations about favorite childhood dishes and the memories that are associated with them, knowing that you are also creating a legacy for the future. But any time is a great time to use food stories to connect the generations. Once launched, our blog will allow you to look through our collection and easily add your own photo and text by filling out a simple online form. For now, please use the form provided below to respond to some of the following questions and submit it along with your photos.
Here are some questions to think about:
You can download the submission form as a Word Document where you can type your story directly into the document or as a PDF which you can fill out by hand. Whichever form you choose, please print and sign the form and return it to the Society office. You may scan and e-mail the completed form to firstname.lastname@example.org along with your photos, or mail to 333 Bloomfield Avenue, West Hartford, CT 06117. Please note: We strongly prefer images to be submitted electronically.
You may also use this link to upload photos and a completed form to our Dropbox.
