The Jewish Historical Society of Greater Hartford currently is in the process of actively collecting archival materials related to Jewish community life from institutions, organizations and individuals in the Greater Hartford area. As the Society continues to collect archival records evidencing the past, it also is currently working with area institutions to collect materials created today that undoubtedly will have relevance in the future. As this initiative begins, the JHSGH will work in consultation first with area synagogues, and then with area institutions and organizations, to help these communities and corporate entities develop their collection programs while helping to facilitate the preservation of these collections for future generations.
